Mylot lacks this facility

Hi friends.Since I am new here I might not know a few things running around here in mylot.But I just did want to know if there is any facility to find out whether a friend of mine is online or not.Is there any color[green for online,red for off line] to check this out?So far I think I do not think I saw such facilities here.If there are ways to find out other than messaging and checking out please let me know.Or if this feature does not exist I think it would be very useful to have it.What do guys and gals say?????
