I am wondering if any one out there knows any exercises for the pool. My boyfriend and I along with the kids need to lose some poundage and walk regularly. We are at the pool alot. My bf and I normally do laps in the pool but all I ever feel from that is soar arms. Are there other things we could be doing do help lose weight at the pool?
Any suggestion will be greatfully accepted
Thanks

The pool is a great way to lose weight. Here are some ideas off the top of my head:
Races- you can do this by different types of swimming, side stroke, under water, walking(harder than it seems) and running(even harder than it seems).
You can also do these things while hanging on the side of the pool wall(assuming it is a concrete pool and not a easy set type)
Put your legs over the side of the pool and do sit ups, you can go all the way under water and come up.
Hold on to the side of the pool with your arms and raise your legs(side by side) all the way up til they touch the top of the water then lower them back down.
Basic aerobic stuff may include: Jumping jacks, twists, knee ups.
Hope this helps ya! And good luck. The great thing about water is that the resistance works almost all of the muscles at once.
