Legitimate work at home?

I asked a question on Yahoo! answers about legitimate work at home companies. I have been searching for years for one, and have been very unsuccessful. So, I received a response from someone stating that they knew of one that was totally free to start up. You have th eoption of buying their product, or not... but either way you are supposed to make money.
