My two children are driving me crazy today! My son is 7 and my daughter is 4. One minute they are playing so nicely together and the next minute they are screaming at each other or hitting each other. I know this is normal for siblings to do and I've tried a bunch of different things to keep them happy and occupied. Today I think the answer is quiet time for him and a nap for her. The summer is half over, but it is days like today I cannot wait for school to start again.

Yeah I can see your struggle, me and my brother are 3.5 years apart we always got on each other nerves sometimes we played nice and sometimes we just hated each other so much we wanted to do everything to hurt one another, I think it's pretty normal, I think my mom went wrong when she made us have the same friends, so try to have different friends for them to play with, it might be easier. In the end you know they will outgrow it and have each other back when they are older.

I have 4 kids and at the moment i have a real problem with scratching, its a nice day today and they are outside playing like they are the best of friends so im realy enjoying my quiet time ... but the last couple of weeks any fights between them results with at least one of them being covered in scratches ...and boy am i having trouble getting them out of it ... appart from keeping nails as short as possible and sending them to their rooms im at a loss as what to do ...i supose that we all have done simaler as we were growing up and i just have to take each day as it comes and hope they grow out of it

its an old truism but it really is part of growing up. I think it is us non school teaching adults that have trouble with summer, not the kids
blessed be

I know exactly what you are saying!! My son is 13 and my daughter is 7. At times they are so fun to have! They laugh, sceam, play, joke together...then the next minute all Heck breaks loose! I finally have come to the conclusion that I have to seperate them and give them something to do. I will give each a dusting cloth and send them to a seperate room. This works and gets some of my housework done:)
