Now they're conspiring against me! (FREE TO GOOD HOME!)

I have posted a discussion in the past about my cat Puffy and opening drawers (link below). Now the story has a new twist!
Puffy, Lord Greything, has discovered the bread drawer. He has opened it several nights in a row. This morning, Larry, the dog in my avatar now, decided to take advantage of the situation. Puffy isn't tall enough to reach into the drawer and pull things out. Larry certainly is, and he did. Once our Basset Hound, Sophie, heard the commotion, she came running out and took Larry's purloined potato bread from him, so he reached back in and helped himself to some croissants, then some cookies, then some moldy hotdog rolls left over from the holiday.
Guess who didn't get any breakfast this morning?
I would love to beat all three of their butts, but it wouldn't do any good. Guess I need to go buy some babylocks for the bread drawer now!

You have some really cute babies there sweets - they all look so gorgeous and lovable! What characters they seem to be and they obviously work well together as a team! I would love to have seen a video of this but I can see it all very clearly in my mind! You have a wonderful family there sweets and they must keep you really busy but maybe you should have got up a bit earlier and given them their breakfast and they might not have eaten yours! lol hugs xxx

I know all about the conspiracy of the animals. Mine do the same thing. I have one that gets the object of desire and the rest I swear, cheer him on. He usually gets the item himself but he sometimes shares. The cats also are good at getting into trouble. They knock things over and then the dogs get them. I have already installed baby locks on my cupboards and I don't have a baby.lol.

I can relate to this, I have 3 little 4 legged monsters, as well as 2 wrapper stealing cats. The one dog is a notorious counter surfer, and will go up there, and knock things off, and the other 2 just reap the rewards. Sometimes I just want to knock their heads together, but, alas, I love them too much.

At least your furbabies have the intelligence to grab something edible. Ours don't.
Admittedly, we do tease the cats with envelopes and paper to get them active rather than just lying around. So the dogs get into the act, too.
Hubby has a bad habit of not putting paper towels on the wooden paper towel holder I have. Guess who gets to clean up the blizzard of paper towel shreds on the floor of the living room when he gets home? ;-)
No toilet paper roll is safe, either. I saw one of the mid-sized dogs last week dropping one so one of the cats could shred it just last week.
Le Sigh.....

Aww, your basset hound is adorable! As for the incident, had it happened to me I probably wouldn't be able to get upset towards them. They just wanted some snacks!
Now I feel kinda sad. We used to have two basset hounds and a terrier, but we had to give them away

Oh no! what cheeky pets! I find it funny you need to get child locks because your cat gets into things. It's cute. But i know if it was me i would be furious! Especially them eating the croissants!
