Which would you chose if you could have a choice between a dog and horse. What qualities do you find in each? Why would you chose the other.

I think horses and dogs go together great. Riding a horse and having your dog go along with you can be a lot of fun! But both animals have such wonderful qualities of companionship. Having a relationship with either a horse or dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences ever. The only big problem with horses is that they are very expensive to have. You can't keep them in your house, like a dog, so you have to rent a stall or corral at a stable and you have very high vet bills and feed bills, a horseshoer. Plus there's the initial purchase price for a trained horse that won't kill you. And the list goes on. But if you don't have the money, horses can be quite cost prohibitive. So dogs are much cheaper and the rewards are just as great. And dogs are a little easier to cuddle and love.

I have both. I love my horse she is just the best to play with. I put her out side and I love to watch her run. My horse also loves to chase the cars that drive past her. I think she has been watching too much of the raceing stripes. My horse is my best friend. I also have a small dog. A shih-tzu she is awsome with my kids and I love haveing to snuggle with her at night. She is also my best friend.
