When it is not to hot out my family hike. It doesn't matter if it is a simple walk or rock scrambling we do it. Hiking came fairly newly in our life. We hiked when it was to hot to camp or fish. We have visited Red rock cayon and Lake Mead. Many times we found simple hiking spots. No matter where we hike we had fun. Do you love to hike? Do you do it alone or with family or friends? Where are your favorite spots? Let us know.

Hiking...oh I so agree with you about the joy of it. My hubby and I love to hike...anywhere there is natural setting.
During our honeymoon we travelled in the vicinity of Lake Mead..although we didn't quite make it there. However that whole area is magnificent. We stayed in Moah and hiked through Canyonlands, and the surrounding areas up in the Mountains beside it, Sippapu? (I think that is the spelling...of well close enough.) We've alos hiked through Montana, Colorado and other parts of Utah.
Eventually we want to go back and take in Lake Mead, then dip into the Grand Canyons, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Costa Rica and return to British Columbian and hike there.
A little closer to home Kenor and surrounding areas in Southwestern Ontario are gorgeous places to hike and explore.
So I guess you can tell...like you we love to hike!
Fun to participate in topics that give so much enjoyment. Thanks!

I used to do a little bit of hiking, although we mostly just stuck to the trails along the rivers and the backwoods of Michigan. I haven't been able to do this for quite a while though because of my back and knee injuries. I usually went with my family.
