how many here are users of Intel processors? why do use Intel for your desktop or laptop? how many here are users of AMD processors? why do use AMD for your desktop or laptop?

I use Intel processors because 90% of vendors sells Intel Processors.

why did you not try amd processor? is it because of the vendors around you? :)

This make up 10% of my considerations, the other 90% went to friends told me that AMD processors are not good in terms of graphics, speed and others although the price is lower than Intel.

I would say that at the present situation after the huge price cuts from both intel and AMD camps this year the entire processor market is going great and the winner is obviously the customers..... I think if a user is more budget oriented,then the AMD is processor is the best one for him as it has great motherboards for less prices and the integrated graphics is also better.... However if a user is performance oriented,then i would suggest the Core 2 Duo from Intel as it has higher performance and lower heat/power margins...... I were to choose between the two,currently i would choose a cheaper intel Core 2 Duo and overclock it to the extreme and then have the performance of a high end machine.....

yeah i agree with you regarding the price drop of the processors, the customer is the winner. hey did you already tried same specs. of processor? i think amd has an edge over intel.

I have intel celeron d 3.06ghz :P never tried amd...

just try amd you will fell the difference... try to upgrade your motherboard and your processor with amd processor and amd motherboard, just for a change. try it!
