Do schools actually prepare students for the real world?

I actually don't really think so. I mean we design popcorn boxes at school, but what are we going to do with that knowledge in real life? Or how about triginometry. I mean schools bad enough with classes everyday and a triginometry to worry about, who would want to pursue a career in it? What do we take from school into the real world? Learning to cross our legs sit up straight? What are your views on this?

Not too well. The schools have become baby sitting services for parents who do not take responsibility for raising their kids. The schools are also too worried about hurting the kids self esteem to be effective at teaching kids much of anything.
