I know I'm not going to understand women.
I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,
pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out of the root,
and still be afraid of a spider.

Personally, I'll never understand getting rid of leg or armpit hair. Why would you want to look like a prepubescent girl??
As for bugs, we have an Emperor scorpion and three Madagascar cockroaches as pets, and until recently, a pet snake.
I do have to admit, though, I'm probably not much of an 'average' woman.

I am not afraid of spiders or small insects. But I dislike wasps, bees, well anything with a stinger. A snake can get me running too.

It kind of depends on the size of the bug. If it looks like it might have eaten Manhatten, I'll probably run. I'm allergic to bees and such. Snakes creep me out. I refuse to wax my legs because I'm more afraid of hot wax than I am of my husband being disappointed my legs aren't nice and smooth for him, so I'll shave them. For him mostly, I guess it is a vanity thing though. Even when single if I wore a dress or something else that showed my legs I kept them shaved. Girls grow up learning to take care of their appearance. We are taught how to be ladies from the very first time our Momies put us in a pretty pink dress with ruffles and lace.

let me just clarify. I forgot to mention that I am a woman. This was just an excerpt from an email which I got in my inbox and it made me laugh. it was just funny how confusing we can be to men.
