PHP and Perl are scripting languages what are usigng interpreter to be executed....
PHP has more than 200 instruction and functions, while Perl don't have so much instruction and use switches...
Perl is also extended C language..
Html is not scripting language, it's Hyper text markup language and it use tags to display something on the page...
so in some script language You can choose what htnl code You'll write to be displayed on web browser.

Well the differences are PHP has a lot different functions that cant be on html, i don't know much about perl but i know about html and php, php is very popular it used to create web portals usually called CMS expamle phpnuke, joomla and mambo they are all created with php, html is very popular too,but the differences are that html has not that much funtions than php, thats why most people use php programming for there web sites, i have used it for my site , i am using phpnuke for this site www.cellphonejunky.co.uk enjoy.
