Is it really legal?

So, how legally binding are the cell phone contracts we sign? I know they all have fees for ending the service before the alloted time, but I have been told different. An employee of Verizon wireless told me that in Iowa, a cell phone contract is not legally binding and you can get out of them without paying the fees. Are there any experts out there who know if this is correct? Does anyone know where I could look for answers?

Well, I'm not sure how legal is that contract, but if before the contract you want to terminate the service before the contract time over, you can go to www.resellular.com, there's A $14.95 fee, but it's better than paying hundreds dollar.
