Discussion subject or Discussion details, what do you fill-up first?

Well, now the time has come. I wanted to put up this discussion very badly, from past few days.
I am curious to know from you all.
When you start a discussion, where do you begin from?
Do you write the whole description and then decide about the title?
Or
Do you confirm the subject first and then write the description based on it?
I always concentrate on the subject first and then plan how to make the best description for it. However, i can't justify my method is the best because i've not tried the other route.
What about you? How do you proceed? Discuss.

Hello I_LUV_U!:-)
I do not start discussion haphazardly. Whenever I want to start a discussion I come with clear idea on what I am going to write. That's why I almost always write the topic or subject first and then write my already thought out description. Writing topic first also keeps my focus and don't let me go astray on what I am writing.
However, thinking about it, I must say that when an idea comes to my mind on which I am going to write, I definitely work on details already in my mind and again in mind selection of topic comes after I have thought the idea and worked out it's details. So, you can say that in my mind, I work out details first and then think of a topic and when I have worked out a topic in mind I'll write it first when I actually start a discussion and then will add my thoughts. So both ways are true for me, one in mind and other on paper/screen.
Very few times it has also happened though, that after writing whole post and before submitting it, I realized that topic needs to be changed a bit, so I would slightly change the topic.

Dear I_LUV_U
Whenever I have something in my mind to say or share .. or whenever I need an advice .. I start a discussion .. while starting a discussion I have many thoughts in my mind .. like will my discussion enter -- Today's top discussion list or not / Will anybody respond to it / My friends will like it or not .. and many many other questions .. after that I think about the whole discussion details and write whatever comes in my mind and when I am done .. I choose a photograph to suit my discussion .. and if I am not able to get any .. then I simply enter the title of the discussion -- try to make it noticed and catchy ... and then -- Start discussion and so I am done :)

I always type in the subject first whenevr I start a discussion.. Its better to enter the subject first, coz u can look at it to let u detail about it.. I think this one is the best method to start a discussion, and I know, many of us are following this method only...

Most of the time it starts with the title/subject first. I sometimes ask a question and then build the body of the discussion off of that or else I just put up a heading that sums the whole discussion and go from there!

Thinking of a discussion, I prepare the details in my mind first but while writing it down, I always put the title first. Eventually my details too change from what i had initially planned but that's natural. :)

I think I do it backward, I fill in the discussion first. Sometimes I forget what I am all excited about saying if I start with the subject. I write the discussion and then fill in the subject from the material I wrote. It just makes it easier to pick a title and it has more description when I am finished.

I find a picture of what I want to write about- I then start with my topic- subject line- then I fill in the body of the discussions- I add the picture and write about it a little (the picture). I find it easier to start with the topic and then fill in the rest-

Hello I_LUV_U,
Well, again I don't hope you to follow my advice *laugh* I always start with the subject first and follow with the content. It is easier for me to concentrate on my topic of discussion. Sometimes it is not a good way too, as after you read your content, then you decided to change the subject to be more attractive for you to get more responses. Unfortunately, we can't edit what we have typed here. That is the bad news.
I won't take too much time thinking of my subject. But I do take time to type the content of my discussion. I want it to be perfect and understandable but it always turn out not to be perfect at all *laugh* Well, I am just having fun here and try to earn extra money while doing it *smile*

I always have an idea in my head before I even start writing on my subject so I have a discussion subject too. I have never thought about writing the whole discussion and then going back and making the title more appealing and more relevant. Thanks for the new idea.
