We are two sisters and though now it doesn't matter that its just the two of us, while i was growing up, i always wanted a brother. I don't know why, maybe because I already had a sister or that a brother looked like the types who would always protect and comfort. Did you ever wish you had a brother?

Actually, I am the total opposite. I always wanted a sister. I have a brother but there is a ten year age difference between us. I am 35 and he is 45. So growing up we were never really close and to this day we still arent really close. I always wanted a sibling closer to my age but my mom wasnt able to have more kids so I never got to bond with my brother the way a brother and sister should.
But I have four kids; two daughters and two sons and their ages are 9,4,3,2.
I didnt intens to have my last three children a year apart each time but we did and those three are closet I have ever seen. They protect each other and always comfort each other when someone get a boo boo. My nine year old acts like a mother hen but I am so glad they love each other the way they do.

Wow! How I wish I could have children like your (2 of each) :).
We are 3 sisters, and I've been begging for a baby brother since my mom got pregnant with 2nd child. But we were all girls :). Anyway, I'm happy with my two lovely sisters who were always there for me.
I wanted to have a brother, cause they're like the protector(s) of the family :).
Now, I'm having kids of my own, I now have 3 boys :P, including this pregnancy, and how I wish to have a baby girl, at least one is o.k. :)

I'm the youngest of 7, I do wish I had a little brother or sister though. My older brothers do protect me though, so I love them for it.

I was lucky enough to have 1 brother & 1 sister.
I actually got along with my brother a LOT better when i was growing up - he was the baby & was always a lot of fun.
My sister & i never got along when we were growing up - actually she liked me, i wasn't keen on her coz i hated the fact i had to share things with her or have her copy everything i did - it got really annoying!
We're much closer now thankfully & i get along SUPER with my brother still which is wonderful too.
I often wonder if my brother wishes he'd been given a brother as well - rather than having 2 sisters, it might have been better for him growing up since he only had us 2 sisters & 2 female cousins - there were never any boys for him to play with, within the family.

Did I ever wish to have a brother? NO! Lol. But I have one, thankfully we get along great. I always wanted a sister since I never did and most of my cousins are girls (and have sisters) and I would see their relationship and would want one too. It'd be a lot funner to have a sister I think...your wardrobe doubles, you can talk about boys, you can share the load on house chores, always have a shopping buddy. It's so different with a boy, I would go shopping with my brother and he'll start whining after about one store. It's really not the same at all. You're better off! Lol.

I am brother, having sisters and no brother. I feel very bad some times, or alone many times, my sons do not have uncle though many aunts and aunts get married and leave the birth place , uncles ca live under one roof. However, when I see brothers quarrel lot of times, I thank God, in my society brothers do not like to live under one roof and do not comfort their parents, instead the only son can do and has to do.But I dream of a bother, who could stood with me in odd times.
