Why is it so hard to become a christian?

I grew up in a christian family home all my life and have always believed in God. I really want to give my life over to the Lord but it is sooo hard to do! How do I get where i want to be? How do I let go of all the things that are holding me back?? Does anyone else feel this way?? Give me some input please!!!!

i feel your pain. I know how hard it is to live the perfect life. I started going to a christian church and the more i learned the more i realized how much wrong i really was doing. and when you have been doing those thigs all your life it's hard to just kick the habit. My advice is keep going to church. If you dont' have a church join one. And just start there. It's not going to be easy but i know it's going to be worth it! What helps me the most is remembering that when i think i'm missing out on fun here, it will be nothing compared to party that is going on in the kingdom of heaven. He's preparing it for us! Keep your head up, you will find the light, and life in Him.
