Gay Pride

First of all I will start by saying that I am in no way prejudiced. I am a heterosexual woman. I think that since there is a gay pride week that there should also be a heterosexual week. The fact that there isn't seems to me to be disriminating against heterosexuals. I think we should get our parade as well. What do you think? ..Lorrie

Thank you for your response. I guess I am at that. I just think that it is so superfluous for gays and heterosexuals to have to have one at all but having said that, if gays have it why shouldn't heterosexuals be just as entitled..Lorrie

I agree, we should. We strive for equality, right? As for the black history month (not black pride month), it's a way to preserve a culture in a land that formerly tried to suppress it. It also serves to honor those who fought so hard for our freedom. Much like Independence Day and Civil War reenactments. I'm pretty sick and tired of african americans and gays being lumped in the same category. It's not the same. Blessed Be

Although I do agree that men should have a pride week, as well as women. Maybe they'll rediscover (as a whole) exactly what it means to be men, not boys. The same to women. Blessed Be

Yeh and a white history month, perhaps a male libertion movement? We'd be publicly hung and branded as bigots for any of those Im sure.
