What do you think about EBAY?

Everybody knows EBAY, the site you can do auctions and buy things for cheap prices. I am already a member for two years now, but just start selling few months ago. When you are thinking about making an extra money, this site is one of them but i know it's hard because of the competition. I have purchased a lot of information about how to be successful on EBAY, Tips and tricks, wholesalers and drop shippers but it's easier to be said than done, you know what i mean if you experienced it already.
For people that are members of this site, maybe we could share our thoughts and maybe secrets... if possible, for us to know about and to make extra income ourselves.
Sharing is the main reason for writing this topic. Thank you.

I once tried to make money on ebay by selling jewelry that I made and also by trying to sell drop shipping items. I never sold anything and after relisting the items a few times I had lost over $50 in listing fees. Then I gave up because I just couldn't afford to keep doing it if all I was doing was loosing money.

I also forgot to mention that I had spent over $300 on jewelry making supplies. I had been told by many people that the jewelry I made was high enough quality to be sold in stores, so I really thought I had a shot with it on ebay. It was so discouraging when I couldn't sell anything.

I know how you feel, you know what? because people have different interest in buying an item. they look at your reputation before buying(feedback). it depends how popular the item that you sell or if it is hard to find and very limited. What i did was, i made a research first if what people really buy on ebay. But it is really thought, that's the right word for that...

The fees make it hard for you to make any kind of decent profit.

I like Ebay. I've gotten stuff there and never been stiffed by anyone at all which is good. I've never sold items myself on there though I have thought about it. You can make money with it but you don't want to cheat people out of anything.
Just something to think about there.

Thanks to ebay i've buy my car, cards to game, even if at times they cheat you .. they are very punctual.
Furthermore i've sell my bike and my skateboard :P :P :P
