hi friends
i know i should be posting these sa music catergory, pero bka kung anong hitsongs ang ibigay sa akin, katulad sa india or germany...
in 2 years time, maggagather ulit kaming mgakakabatch sa aming pinakamamahal na school, 15 years after graduating from highschool.
isa sa dream ko eh ipatugtog lahat ng songs na napatugtog nung mga panahon na yun, yung most requested tuwing may school programs, parties, prom nights at sa kanya kanyang tambayan. yun tipong maghihiyawan pag naalala kung ano ang pinaggagawa nila nung mga panahon na yun.
we know nmn music is a very powerful tool to stimulate emotions, and i want to stir in them what we had back then thru songs.
wish ko lang, pahingi ng list ng mga nakakaalam, lalo na yung mga opm, kahit baduy para sa inyo kung naalala nyo, mas masaya nga siguro kung me novelty song kayong alam.
lalo na yung mga dance hits, hehehe, UMD, streetboys, x-people, at maneouvers.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaay, ayan nagrereminisce na ako

dude, have you tried searching the internet? I'm sure you will find a lo9t of songs there kahit na 'yung mga OPM.
And when you have a list of songs. Search for them again at youtube it will be cooler kapag nakapagshow ka ng music video sa gathering 'nyo.
If I feel nostalgic for a certain song I never fail to visit that site. :)

yup, dude, nag internet na ako, yun pa bang pinakamadali ang nde ko gagawin hehehe
i got about 1000+ songs, pero kaunti lang ang alam ko at nagustuhan ko
nung nagtanung ako, mas magagandang results ang nakuha ko, so i said to myself, why not try here, kung personal favorites ang makukuha ko di ba.
pero salamat sa suggestion mo about youtube, i'd probably get some videos.

hi! in 1993-1994, local bands are very popular like eraserheads and rivermaya, some underground music also and alternative like joey ayala. bon jovi, mariah carey and whitney houston also have hit songs during this time. i also remember a song "you were there", forgot the singer though. gary v's "shout for joy, i think was a hit after 1993 Ms Universe in the Philippines, coz dayanarra torres was in the movie.
foreign boy bands start late 1994-1995.
in 1991-1992, i remember gino padilla's "closer you and i" was a hit. male balladeers at the time are very much in demand.
that's all i remember for now. :)

"you were there" was sung by a duo called (if i remember correctly) "Southern Sons".
They would have been a very big hit in my opinion but sadly i think one of them got killed... or was that just a rumor?
