What Do You Think Will I Do ?

I have a good customer in my store. I consider him a valued client. But I have one problem with him which I cannot find a solution. He has a very bad breath. And my problem is, he is a non stop talker. Everytime he buys something he would look for me to strike up a conversation. I do not want to offend him by hiding every time he looks for me. But his breath is just too offensive even from a distance. Do you knew a person like him ? Any suggestion ?

Oh, that's a tough one! As such a valuable customer, don't you think he deserves a treat? Like some gum or breath mints, or something? Even if you have to pay for them yourself! Tell him it was an overshipment, or a free sample, or anything!

LOL! This made me laugh, it is brillant! And it doesn't seem like she is just giving it to him as a hint that his breath smells! :)

ohh what a tough situation!! well same with the other guys here.. I would suggest you give him a mint evrytime you talk to him.. Tell him its your favorite gum and you want him to take one everytime he comes in your store... Tell him that as a valued customer you want to share with him your favorite gum everyday.. and try to enjoy talking with him about the gum then strike with the conversation with him.. LOL

Maybe put some mints on the counter and ask him to test them out, just to say thanks to your customers.

Calais my friend, thanks for the advice. The thing is, he is fond of going directly to my table inside the store and start up a conversation. I will now be having mints on top of my table.

I don't know anyone like this, but I can make a small suggestion. When he comes to speak to you, keep a small bowl or something of mints around. Grab two, and chuck one in your mouth and offer him one. Then hope he saids sure, thanks, and pops it in his mouth. You probably won't be able to do that everytime he speaks to you. I'm sure.. he could take a hint after awhile though. Thing is.. if he's a valued client.. you dont' want to scare him off, but maybe leaving the mints in an open space near you, he might be comfortable to take one and just use it.

Yes. He is one of those cash paying customer of mine and considering the stiff competition, I really have to take care in not offending him. Thank you for another cool idea, BtheKittySim.

If you can you could possibably on another day, grab two mints, and get up for a little walk and walk with him and offer the mint. Maybe if you two were more like friends you could actually tell them eventually that their breath smells a little bad, but don't make a big deal out of it, just mention it and offer a mint and then continue converstaion so that they are aware of it, but not afraid.
