How do you like living on your own?

I have moved out of my parents house and have been living on my own for the past two years. It has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs but overall its been a great experience. I am able to do things without asking for permission or explaining myself. I can have people over without having to worry on how late they will be staying. So far my experience with living alone has been what I have expected.
Living alone, is it what you expected it would be?

I living on my own now since I have a regular job already. I am capable of buying things that I want and pay my bills in due time. I may say that there are advantages and disadvantages living on your own. But you have to learn how to be more responsible of yourself, manage your own expenses and savings. It is not that easy living without your parents especially of times when you are not feeling well you are looking for the tender loving care of your parents but it has to be that way.

Its really good and bad. At home, I'm the princess. Outside, I have to do everything with my own hands. I actually enjoy staying on my own. In my home country, it is not common or easy for us to live on our own. But I lived on my own once during my overseas studies and the other time when I worked overseas. I have all the freedom to myself and its really quite an experience. It gets lonely at times but I have the computer and internet. Hence, I don't really feel that lonely. :D

yeah, i know. when I'm at my parents house I had everything for free. All i needed to pay for was personal stuff. Now my cheque goes rent, utilities , groceries.. by the end of it I barely have enough for a night out! It's crazy!
