I have never liked witchcraft and I really cannot understand why everybody seems to like Harry Potter, whether it be the books or the films. I have given it a chance and saw one of the films but it didn't really leave much of an impression on me.
So I want to hear from all people out there who are huge fans of Harry Potter... why do you sooooo love him?!

I am also not into witchcraft, but that is not the theme of the series. It is about bravery, friendship, and kids with normal challenges like losing their parents, being poor, and being outcasts. Yes, there is magic in the books, but that's not why readers love it. They love it because there is at least one character in the books that they can completely relate to.

I do not like Harry Potter, but when I saw the movie and heard the books (my husband is a fan) I thought "who wants to be a wizard? They were these unfashionable clothes, their kitchen utensils decide to run away, and they run the risk of falling from broomsticks when playing Cribbage" and I decided that the kids who read the books would soon come to the conclusion that witchcraft was not as romantic as it was made out to be.
