I am a Filipino and I am proud to say that our country is really such beautiful, I have already traveled all over the country from JOLO,Sulu to Basco,Batanes we have such a lot of nice beaches good caves nice natural resources in general. As I was traveling around the country I am now able to speak and write at least 7 dialects including of course English and Filipino. If you want to plan a travel in the future pls include Philippines in your list and feel free to PM me and I will help you update free of charge about my country.. My country is very safe the news of saying that this country is unsafe was not true. Yes there were places in which you dont have to experiment like the mountainous ares wherein people live for a day to day survival, pls dont go there. How about your country what do you have that you will be proud of?

I concur
the Philippines has a lot of suuny beaches.
I have never seen so many sunny beaches except in Florida, California, Thailand, Spain, Michigan, Italy, Sicily.
Your sunny beaches are the biggest in the world.

Well, thats the problem, i dont know were did your wife came from in which? and why she dont know the facial expression language of our country. Ask her the word TANGO (taa-ngoo), if she can relate about it... Coz most of the foreigners doesnt know about it... Ask her then also when her parents got mad at her how does the expression of the eyes, or if her parents ask of something especially with visitors how does it communicate her... Lastly, I just dont know her educational, and parental background why those words where the one she have shared and lived with you...A word that you will be sharing for the entire life until you have kids... Sorry for that but your wife is just among the few... It is an isolated case though... Hope if she is a cebuana she can change it to palangga(paa-lung-gaa) or tagalog to mahal ko( maa-haal coo) I think thats much more nice than gaga or gago. Not unless she is and you are too. But I dont believe it, that you are gago and so she is a gaga. well if it is an expression that is not a good one for your children might copy it and ones they visit here and encounter some kids who are educated they might get even.

the only difference is the hospitality and smiles of our country... Just by the wink of an eye everybody understands each meaning..

what? my asawako has not a clue in what i am talking about and neither does her extended family..
where are these Filipinos where a wink of the eye tells anything? to me a wink of the eye is either sand in the eye or you want to make out..
but if you say so..maybe I have not been to the right island..as i have been to Leyte, Negros, Ceub and a few other like Sick e hore..(sp) but I always think the same thing..no money no honey...well tell me the place where a wink of they eye tells all.. my wife does not know either but she told me I am gaa goo..and i told her she is gaa gaa and go eat a balut

Vincent, if you want to earn money from mylot... Pls make at least 3 to 5 sentences so you earn if you do it such this you will not earn from here and you might get disappointed. Anyway going back to your question, Siquijor is a very nice place to visit the people are so friendly and the stories told about its witchcraft were not true and for me it is very safe there.

Well i guess you are right. Anyway I am from Siquijor that's why I asked that. You know many people stereotyped Siquijodnons as witches or anything like that. And i really hated to hear those things. May i say this, Siquijor is a very peaceful province. I was living there four almost twenty years yet i have not experienced being spelled by a witch.hehehe... It's so funny when i am talking about these things but it's true. And i am telling everyone that Siquijor is such a nice place to live in.

There are quite a lot of Filipinos around myLot, I constantly see these kinds of threads! Hehe! It must be really great to have so many of your own nationality around, I would be absolutely ecstatic if only I found ONE Dominican person around these parts! Lol.
Naturally I think my wee, little island is the most beautiful place - but I know I'm just biased! I'm from the Dominican Republic (island in the Caribbean) and the people there are so friendly and the palm trees line all the sandy white beaches and it's just amazing there. I love it so much. I was born there so my first language was Spanish.
I always wondered...how come it's spelled Filipino? Shouldn't it be Philipino? Hmm! Lol

Well, I've heard that it was also nice there but what I am trying to emphasize was that the beauty of my country.... Sorry I'm not a historian but before we do spell it as Pilipino, but now when you say Pilipino its the Language Like English... Just because our country is so rich in words and action. So when you say Filipino it is our nationality and Pilipino is our national language.

And I'm a proud Pinoy too. Have you been to Bohol? And Catanduanes? I could recommend some nice beaches and places to visit from these two provinces. Beautiful Islands which I think adventure seekers would love to explore.

You forgot to mention Palawan, Puerto Princesa & Davao. The following places offers white sand beaches and diving spots which I think majority of tourists look for. Diving spots found in Davao are quite enchanting. The reefs are really different, seawaters are thrash-free. =) I'm a proud Filipino, too!!! :P

I am so proud of myself as a Filipino and also being proud to a fellow Filipino like you who always takes pride of our country. There are lots of beautiful places here in the Philippines that we must be proud of. I am from Manila but also been into many tourist spots in the country. I believe that it is safe to travel in the Philippines now compared before because the security enforce by our government is high. That makes us Filipino proud of our mother land.
