I believe tomorrow never comes, do you?

I have one motto in my life, I believe that 'Tomorrow never comes', therefore I always remember this motto and I try to dispose of my work either in office or at home as soon as possible (on day to day basis. I have experienced that whenever I postponed my work for the next day.....everything went hay wire. I faced difficulties in disposing of the task at a later date...Also if any task got delayed, it could not be completed properly and on time. What about you friends, do you also adopt the same motto, or do you wait for 'tomorrow' to come. Please share your thoughts and experiences with me. Thanks!

There are two ways of looking at this: One is what you said, telling your mind that tomorrow nevercomes, so complete today's assignment today itself. It is height of efficiency. Secondly, when you are down today, look for better tomorrow. This positive thinking will help you overcome the temporary setback.

I agree with you on this. I have seen people who postpone work constantly and face difficulties but dont learn a lesson. Even my hubby is one of them. I hate postponing and if there is something to do i have to do it then and there. There are certain things that we cannot rush into. But basically, delaying work is not my thing. I always do things very much before on time and i have gained a lot of good things because of this habit. If i go somewhere, every thing has to be ready atleast 2 days before. Even my daughter's hair ribbons! This saves a lot of time, energy and unwanted stress. After all, we have enough and more stress from work and other problems, dont we. So we shouldnt add to that. Good luck & Take Care.

Like I have in my old discussion we have same thing in commom. My annoying traits about being so workaholic as much as possible I don't want to left my work for today and done for tomorrow. I just thoought it will be very hard for me if my work will get added and added until I can't even no longer finished it coz I never done it for the first day I must done it. And I do beleve in your motto maybe if all people have these motto our world will be very rich coz no people is lazy.

LOL!!! Of course, if you keep saying "tomorrow", then how will you ever get anything done? I've also come to realize the truth in the saying "tomorrow never comes" because i often procastinate and end up getting my hands full and stressed on days when i have to beat the deadline. The phrase is a very good reminder for us to do the things which we could do today and not wait for tomorrow. So now, i'm trying my best to manage to get things done...but for now, i'm busy with mylot and perhaps, i could still catch with other things later....waaahhhh, i'm procastinating again!!!!

hmmm..i don't think about this philosophy in my life and everyday things..if i start to believe in it this would make my life so frightening i mean as i would be worrying all the time "God i can not be sure that whether i would be alive or in a hospital or on the road tomorrow" and then there won't be left any normality in my life!;)but i agree that this motto help us quite a lot in getting done our jobs and responsibilities. for me my motto is just believe in your self and sustain faith in you and you'll reach your dreams!:)my work and tasks are done keeping this thing in my mind!

"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday" is one of my favorites. My life motto is "The Serenity Prayer". It is what gets me through tough or trying times. I try to do things as they come up, but being a procrastinator, it's hard sometimes. Like, I can put off a dentist or doctor appointment for as long as necessary, but that laundry is piling up minute by minute. If it can be put off, I will do it 'later', if it's a day-to-day thing, I try to do it on an 'as needed' basis. Thankfully, my kids are old enough to learn how to wash their own clothes, and my oldest two take care of the dishes. Some things can wait until tomorrow, and it's up to us to decide what those things are.

hi deepak i too believe in doing things the same day and not postponing them for the next. But i also realized that my solid believe somtimes does not work for me, somtimes you have to check what is the best thing for you in life in the same moment, take the pressure off and do some things the next day, and enjoy life. take care.:)

I too try to finish off the job and never likes postponement. But its not that postponed work will not be recognised or completed sucessfully. This proverb will be applicable for students as postponement will make difficulty for them while exams are nearing , to people working in office who has target to be completed. I have done some work at a later stage facing some uncertainity that hurdled me to incompleteness and done it with great sucess.Anyway if some work requires urgency..like if it is not done today it will cause loss of money then its better to get it done without further delay.

I must confess that I do procrastinate a little, I would like to finish the day's work the same day but I keep putting it off for the next day and yes, tomorrow does not come and I have to abandon that project. I envy you your perseverance.
