The Winchester brothers and the Hardy Boys--Check this out please!

If you happen to be familiar or have heard about the 70's TV Series this may be an interesting discussion. For those who are clueless but are still interested, you may check out this URL ( http:www.imdb.com/title/tt0075513/plotsummary) for some Hardy Boys background. (Of course, some of you surely are more resourceful than I am)
Is TV history repeating itself? Aside from having 2 goodlooking brothers as main characters, Supernatural and The Hardy Boys series may have more in common.

there is a similarity but is felt only when puts this question in front of you.....i saw the 70's hardy boys series(not many though)....but Supernatural kicks off with a different note than hardy boys plus what the winchester boys do is completely different from the hardy boys adventures...also this series has got a lot of ROCK N ROLL INTO IT...so altogether it is a different experience!!!!!!

I think the only similarity is that winchesters are two brothers like the Hardy Boys but that's it. The Winchesters chase demon and ghosts and the Hardy Boys solve Mysteries

I would like to add however, that I just discovered recently that for the TV series, both pairs of brothers had no mothers and were mentored by their fathers. The Hardys and the Winchesters inherited the work that their fathers have started.
I am still hopeful that I may discover more similarities &/or differences through this discussion.
