I've read in an online article that: "Puppies generally do not need to get bathed until they are five months old since they get their vaccinations during these first five months of their lives and during this time their bodies are more sensitive to catching a cold. " Do I have to wait that long? I just got a puppy who is 1 1/2 month old. And he already stinks a little bit. lol.. =D In your experience, how long did you wait to give your puppy his first bath?

OK, you have noticed that five months is not going to work as far as waiting to give that pup a bath. It was bad advice, OK? (IMHO) Now, th enumber one reason it was bad advice is that you have to start very young with training the pup for everything that you expect the grown dog to do. So, it is so much easier to handle a 1-or-2-month-old pup in a bath than a half-grown dog, isn't it? So start right now to bathe your pet, and any other task that you will have to do like brushing its teeth and clipping nails. As for keeping him warm, you can wrap him up in an old blankie for bedtime.
