Ive been reading pregnancy myths on the internet and found it very interesting. Do you belive in them? Here are a list of what I read:
Belly shape plays a big role on the gender of the baby.
If the mother is carrying the baby low, then its a girl. If the mother is carrying the baby high in her belly, its a boy.
Women who crave fruit throughout the pregnancy is most likely to be a girl.Women who eat meat and salty foods most likely a boy.
Belly shape:
basketball shape: is a girl
watermellon shape: is a boy

LOL I think that are myths with a very big capital M... Myths are all they are, there're no way of telling something like that :-)

I don't think the belly shape has something to do with the gender of the baby. I think when I was pregnant, my belly shape was like a basketball than a watermelon. I have a son at last. People often said when a woman who had a girl baby when she was pregnant, she would become a little bad looking. I also don't think it's true. As I couldn't see any difference from my colleague.

Yes I read that as well that the mother starts loosing her looks because the beauty would be used on the baby girl. Did your stomach hang low or high?

I don't think there are any truth to those myths. Either it's just crazy stuff people have come up with, or there have been coincidences where many women craved fruit and it's a girl, and so people think that's how it always is. But there's not really any way to tell something like this. Myths.

I feel some myths are true and some just myths. If you get dark patches or discolouration on your body particularly the area around neck, then its a baby boy.
One more myth (or real) is that if you appear beautiful then its a baby boy.

I know a lady that carried a girl and she was low, when I had my son I was carrying high it was like my belly was right under my chin... Though I craved French Toast when I was pregnant with my son.. So yes and no it can be and can't be.

there were even some i heard way back, that if the mom begins to look unattractive during the period of her pregnancy it would most likely be a boy. If she begins to take care of herself more and wear paint on her face it would be a girl.
Really funny. But the old folks do believe it though.

I usually don't believe them at all, but there is always one person or other that swears they're true.
But I can disprove those. My first pregnancy was carried really high. My mother in law kept telling me it was a boy and tried to convince me to buy boy's stuff, I'm glad I didn't pay attention LOL It was a girl:)
ALso I didn't really crave any fruits - actually didn't crave anything to be honest. And I always eat meat and foods that are a bit salty... still a girl hehe

Definitely not true. My mom looked horrible while pregnant with my brother, she blew up and looked very wide and her feet got very chubby and she broke out. With me, she had a smaller, rounded belly (which is odd since I weighed more than my brother at birth) and her skin looked great and she had that pregnant women glow. So many pictures she didn't have makeup on and she looked like she did.
I'm so not looking forward to having a boy, it runs in my family that boys make us look very rough. Not looking forward to the break outs! Lol.

Everything is different for each woman and for each pregnancy. It's pretty ridiculous to believe something so general as all that when people are so different.
