Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING, BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS. I was woken up today by some lady on the phone trying to sell me tickets in a lotto for some charity. I told her "I wasnt interested" and she went on to say "go and put your mum on the phone you little brat". Well as all you know I am the mum. I just hung up, but it left me wondering how you people would have acted? Looking forward to your responses:-()

Well I am not used to be scolded or wouldn't allow anyone to simply just shout, I'd surely retaliate. That's my initial reaction, shout back and drop the conversation. I apply simple principles in life, touch me not then I won't touch you. I'll do to you, what you did to me. An eye for an eye, a tooth for tooth!;)

Just don't tolerate them, it would be considerable if they'd do it for once. But don't let them or anyone do that again to you, I do know that you're a good person!;)

How rude and nasty. I would have asked to speak to the supervisor and repeated what this person said...the cheek of her. I'll bet you were shocked. I would have been.

Yes shocked is a good word for it, I would have asked to speak to the supervisor if I hadnt of been half asleep. Now all I can do is laugh how someone called me a brat.lol

I would have hung up and then would have had to restrain myself from reporting her. Thankfully it was you that picked up and not some young child that was merely trying to do the right thing and let you sleep. You did well tredale!

I have a standard, true comment: "I am sure it is a worthwhile charity, but I only donate through my church and United Way." If asked further, I tell people it is because my church is accountable to me, and I know where every penny goes. I also would have reported her, if I knew the name of the charity, for rudeness, and name calling.

So I said next time he called I said oh my mommy is not home.LOL And I kept doing that finally he stopped calling me.heheheheh

Oh my- how wonderful that person is- A telemarketer that is rude- I bet they get alot of sales- NOT--- I'd have said -- I'd like to speak to your supervisor- you little brat--- and reported them- how rude- what if you really were a kid- I know for a fact my daughter would have said mom- this person just called me a brat... and I would have went off on them!

I would have contacted the place she was selling for, if you knew it. That is ridiculous. Or maybe said something only a mom would say, thus letting her know her mistake. How rude!
