Need suggestions on being effective with free or low budget advertising methods

I am on a real low budget, and I mean a real low budget. I just started working over the internet about a month ago. I'm part of an affiliate company that gives commission on sales you make typing up ads. So far, I've made no sales. I can't afford the high paying advertising methods that guarantees thousands a day. I would be grateful if I make $10 a day. So far, I've made nothing. I've been told that it takes time, and to give it a few weeks. I also just started marketing with another company, where I Email leads. I've Emailed leads, and even advertised in hopes of getting more leads. Still no response. The main responses I get are advertising companies that claim they are better if you put out more money. I can't afford to put out more money. I know I am with legitimate companies. But I need to advertise to get more exposure, and possible interests or sales. Help! I need practical solutions to better advertising, with practical results. Again thousands a day is wonderful if it is affordable and legit, but honestly, I'm content with income that is average or practical. Thanks for anyone's input or response. I'll appreciate it. JoMarie
