Sally's party on Coronation Street

Tonight Coronation Street did what they do best and there was a party for Sally's 40th, where else but in the Rovers. And for once they did not fall into the awful "let's have a karaoke and show everybody murdering songs" trap but just had Kev do a song for Sally and her retaliating with "These Boots are made for Walking". There was a terrific family and community feeling and I really enjoyed this, so much that I wish I had taped it.
Did you catch this episode, if not, if you like these warm occasions it may be worth getting someone who has the repeats on the Sky channels to tape it for you, it was superb.

there is a "soaps" tag and you can follow the story line of both Coronation Street and Emerdale there.

I actually saw some of it, missed Kevin singing but saw Sallys brave attempt, bless her, nice to see her smiling for once.
I may get to watch the minibus on Saturday afternoon, if everyone else is busy. Managed it last week for the first time ever. It was a bit depressing tho'.
I'm quite enjoying Violets new storyline, she and whatsisname are becoming favourites of mine on there.

Did you catch the omnibus?
Violet and the one with the floppy fringe whose name I can never remember are leaving the show soon so I wonder if poor old Sean ends up heartbroken.

Yes, it was one of my favourite episodes of the whole year, and I am hoping there will be something as good this year.
