PHp is an very popular language for web designing and it being used over 10000 professional web pages, php is an very popular programming language used in web pages and also some programs but it is used mostly in web pages, HTMl is an very good web programming language also if you want to create an site then you could use a bit of html and a bit of php, mainly php are used for scripts forms and all that kind of stuff or like online store they are mostly created with php and the web portal system usually called CMS is also written in php, you find a lot of sites using php language it is very useful. I have an site of my own create with a web portal system called phpnuke it can be found on www.phpnuke.org,, phpnuke is an very popular web portal system and it is being used over 10000 web sites may be more than that and it is succeeding to me the future web site, and there are a lot of plug ins for it example module and blocks they can be found on www.phpnuke-download.com. . There is an another web portal system called joomla and that is also very popular but the problem is they don't have that much plug ins as phpnuke has and that is the main problem of joomla and thats why phpnuke is getting more popular if joomla had more plug ins like phpnuke im sure joomla would be ahead from phpnuke also there is al ot of web portal system out there but i just listed the main ones they are more like mambo and word press there are more too much to list. Mambo is the third greatest web portal system and the same problem for mambo it don't have good plug ins as phpnuke has so that are the main problem of web portal systems they have very less plug ins and very less templates so thats why phpnuke is the first one out of these three web portal system. I have an site also www.cellphonejunky.co.uk it is created with phpnuke as i said phpnuke has alot of plug ins thats why i installed it, i installed joomla as well but i was looking for plug ins and couldnt find any so i just installed phpnuke. My site is all about mobile phones, i host mobile games, wallpapers, screen savers, rocking ring tones, themes and applications and it is all free also has forum so you can discuss anything about mobile phone or just go on off topic to discuss anything els. If you want to create an site using phpnuke or joomla then it is very easy but first you will need a web host that supports PHP/MYSQL if you want a free web host then go to www.freehostia.com,, www.awardspace.com,, www.zendurl.com (slow server) and www.webmaster-networks.com ( it has a very short sub domain expample yoursite.wmn.cc, once you sign up then you will need to download the web portal system from the site www.phpnuke.org or www.joomla.org it is free of charge, once the web protal system is downloaded then you must create an database in your MYSQL control panel that is found in your hosting control panel, once you create an database then import the sql file found in the web portal system folder when that is done then you must edit the config.php file that is found in your web portal system so it can read your database, once you have done that upload it and then go to your url where you uploaded the web portal system and finish you have installed an web portal system congrats!. if you want more information on install phpnuke web portal system then go to www.phpnuke.org and go to how to in the menu.
