Few days back, I came across a discussion where I got to know that mylot doesnt pay to the responders of discussion with less than 4-5 lines. That made me think of changing my responding patterns. Earlier I used to respond to every type of discussion.
But thereafter, I have changed my responding pattern. I stopped responding to discussions with 1-3 lines.I only respond to discussions with atleast 4 lines in the discussion.
So, friends please make your discussions bit lengthy as short discussions wont help you nor your responders.
I hope I have taken a good decision. Would you too do that or not?

What you are saying is that we ( the rasponder) must have at least four or five lines or we won't get the credit?
I have always gave a long answer as I am a big mouth and yak yak yak all the time so what you are saying I was doing all the right things for the wrong reasons?
Yes, I will try and keep up the good work as now I know there is a reason for the madness. I have never given a short answer when a long answer would do.
If you what time it is..i will tell you how to build a watch? lol..have a nice day.. i am glad for your blog or whatever you call it..sometimes a blind squirell finds a nut now and then

i goofed up in my response..
you ask me what time it is and I then tell you how to build a watch..it is supposed to be a joke..
like sayingt:\
when you ask him what time it is ..
he tells you how to build a watch...
this is supposed to be funny ..sorry...
kid asks his parents for a "watch for his birtday"
so they let him..
same difference.lol

well u have to have discussions that would require lengthy responses, some discussions really only require yes and no answers and so people add a lil more to try to make it lengthy. so if u want to do that , that's fine, but just as long as u make good discussions! nothing like wut color underwear do u wear, b/c that's not requiring a lengthy response!

Friend you know what? I never knew about his. I mean, I have responded to many discussions at times without making it up to four lines. Thanks so much for the information. I will make sure I respond to discussions that will contain up to four lines. Thanks

Dear Rakhii i really dont have much clue on this but still, i feel we must respond to all lengths of discussions. We r not here only for the sake of making money but more than that to make friends and also help others whil werecieve help from others. See even i have started a few 2 liner discussions. They have all worked. Ya its different that money here is of least importance to me. To me my friends are the most important.
Anyways go on. I would try to put in discussions which are lenghthier atleast i could get ur responses then. hahahahahaa

Hey, I respond to your discussions and I think you dont have much of of 1-3 lines discussions.
Also, I would like to add here that the discussions seeking our help are always descriptive, and not 1-3 lines. They are always more than 5 lines. Isnt it?
1-3 lines discussions are mostly the ones asking your interests, or something like that which are not much worth.

I also got $10 with around 550 responses.
You should post quality discussions and comment on others discussions.
You dont get much when others respond to your discussions.
Actually, you are having only 44 comments of your own. You start commenting on others discussions and also start few quality discussions with atleast 4-5 lines. When you comment on others discussions, try making them of good quality and same 4-5 lines minimum. Hope you get better earnings from thereafter.

I was wondering about this very thing. I like the idea of simply not responding to the discussions that are started with only a few lines. You can post hundreds of one and two line discussions. Why reap the benefits of not thinking about the discussion first.
I'm also going to make sure that my future discussions are like you suggested. Making them at least 4 lines if not longer.
Since I just started at this site, I'm so glad that you brought this up.

i'v already noticed this thing weeks ago that's why i've also changed how i respond to every discussions.. i tried counting all my responses to see if how many points i earn with the certain number of discussions and responses i make everyday and got it.. not all my responses are counted and i've known that you have to post 4 liner responses in order to be counted... but of course, that also depends on what kind of discussions you are responding, if it's answerable by yes or no or it needs a little bit explanation..
i think the best way we can do now is to have more quality discussions and payments in order to earn more.. well, good luck friend and happy posting!

Your decision is warmly welcomed. I also avoid totally one-liner postings . Any discussion has to be reasonably lengthy so that it incorporates all matter the member has in mind .

And I discovered that you don't get points if you respond to the same discussion, also! So now I just respond one time, unless I have to respond again!

This is very confusing..you don't get points if you respond to the same discussion? well, that is just like being married..you don't get points for anything there either..I knew I must be doing something wrong..as I only got six bucks and twenty four cents in my kitty.

Really? I never realized that. How did you figure that out? That doesn't make sense that they would put a cap on how long your response is. There are some discussions that only deserve a one line or under three lines. Thanks for the update though.

Really, I thought it was that they paid for your response whatever the length of the discussion or response. I realised that they would pay you up to one cent if your response is up to 4 lines long. Someone suggested the other time that you earn up to 3 cents for making your response 7 lines long. I didn't know the length of the discussion topic also affects earnings. Now that I know, I would make sure all my subsequent discussions are a little long. I really used to hate those page long discussions because I found it hard to read all of it, but I guess it is the best way to do it.

I also thought that and now I'm trying to make the answers bigger. But sometimes is really hard, because ppl tells the quality of the answers count, and i fell like turning around is not a quality answer.

answer the question with 4-5 lines it all depend on how question it was,, and not all people will make question that require long explanation.. so its hard to always answer with 4-5 lines.. to get four lines is hard but to do more than that it tough job but if can just copy and paste it much easier.. but how you know that? if it true so don't bother just enjoy the discussion don't care about earning.. :D

I wrote that in my discussion that I came across a discussion where I got to know about this issue. Thanks for the response! here the question is about starting a discussion with atleast 4-5 lines, not the response. But we should try to respond well to the discussions as well.

Well, i´m new in this site, but already tell me that you have to answer or to start new discussions with bigs sentences to get pay, and i understand that, because it will be stupid you answer only yes or no and get paid the same as a guy answer 5 ou 6 lines.
So i guess you made a good decision!!!

As far as my discussion are concerned, I believe, in all you can very well post your lengthy inputs, if you are determined to post a quality response. My discussions, except few ones, will proably invoke interest in you and will prompt you to write a lengthy response.
Have you seen my recent discussions? If not, please see and post your thoughtful replies.

You could be right or wrong on this. But then again, it is really better to respond to a discussion which is started with at least 4 lines. Unfortunately, there are so many members who has this bad habit of just asking a one-liner question in starting the discussion. Maybe I should also avoid those type of discussions and concentrate on more serious posters. Thanks a lot for your information.

I have noticed that too. Lately I haven't been getting paid for a couple of the responses that I have posted. And most of the discussions has been between 1-3 lines. I guess mylot has changed their earning policy once again. You also have to have quality responses as well that are about 4-5 lines. Thanks for posting a discussion like this and letting everyone know. I hope our fellow mylotters will take heed of this because I kmow I will.

this may be my own perception. it's not on the number of posts that you make that mylot gives you higher earnings. even if you posts many responses but they are not substantive then you earn a little while if you post fewer responses but of good quality, that is with substance (but not necessarily that lengthy) then it will earn you more. i tried it and it seems it's working. i am saying here that i am correct or wrong because no one knows exactly how mylot calculates our earnings.

well Maybe we have to think of discussions that is very interesting to members so that it will requires a lenghty response. im just new here and a little bit confused because some mylotters says 1 to 3 lines of discussions are ok. Some says responding to most of the discussions helps.
