How many languages there are in India?

I started a discussion about Hello in your language, then in India there were a lot of languages, so Indians tell me how many languages do you have.

thanks for this interesting thread...let me recollect..Marathi,Hindi,gujarati,punjabi,malayalam,Tamil,Bagali,Kannad,Harayanvi,rajasthani,Kashmiri,sanskrit,Bhojpuri,avadhi,bundelkhandi,...let my brothers also add ...then we can count.
