I was a Nextel customer who began having coverage issues. So I decided to switch to Sprint to avoid the early term. fees. When I called and placed the order with Sprint the offer that the telesales lady gave me was 2 free Razr phones, no termination fees, no activation fees, free shipping, and a $25 credit on my first bill. When I get the phones 2 days later and try to activate them I realize that the only thing that I got was 2 phones in the mail and free shipping and an extra 2 phone lines. Upon trying to activate the phones they would only call Verizon. So I call from a landline and the lady says I will call back in a half an hour. I get a call 35 minutes later from a guy that is telling me that I can no longer have the offer that was made to me due to me being an existing Nextel customer. I was adament that they should honor the offer, but this later becomes the least of my problems.
After over 10 hours on the phone talking to every department possible, going to the stores 3 times, and attempting to activate the phones over 7 times I was still unable to call anyone but Verizon 99.9% of the time. I couldn't even call my husband to tell him I was going to the hospital because it would only call Verizon. I was even given someone elses phone number to use as my own. Over the course of time between June 28th and now I have called every day and even given the numbers of vanity lines to call. I finally talked with someone who gave me the ok to cancel with out the termination fees but the problem is he too gave me a fake fax number. Calling corporate doesn't help as I already have. Since 9:30 tonight I have been hung up on over five times. Once they hear the word cancelation they manage to hang up on me or transfer me to vanity lines. If anyone out there knows something I can do please tell me. I'm desperate.
