Am I NUTS, earlier this morning I thought I was. But I have no insurance and my fiance and I just moved 156 miles away from my doctor. I was getting free meds from Wyeth but in order to do so, I need a prescription, which means driving the 156 miles to see my doctor and if any of you have ever had "BRAIN SHIVERS", you know a 156 mile drive is NOT a good idea. (literally laughing out loud) So, I went from 150mg per day to nothing. And I'm not dead yet not have I killed anyone or anything yet. How? DRAMAMINE SLEEP BEER (just a couple a day) LET YOURSELF CRY & FEEL SORRY FOR YOURSELF TAKE IT EASY I think what else has also helped me is my fiance worrying so much about me, wondering what condition he's going to find me in when he gets home. It's so sweet and really makes me feel like I can do this. (I'm on my 2nd day with no meds btw) Another thing, think of all the GOOD things it means to give it an honest go. My fiance has never seen my eyes so clear and bright. Be happy to feel human again. Embrace it. ENJOY THAT FREAKING AWESOME APPETITE! Oh my GOD, I cannot remember food tasting so damn good! And going "#2"? YAY! I'm a regular pooping machine!Honestly though, if you've got vacation time from work and you've run out of your EFFEXOR, take it. Nuture yourself. AND DRAMAMINE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD

Hi emckee, My prayers are with you. I have tried to get off Zoloft a few times and I don't know how it compares to effexor, but I know I haven't suceeded. I am a totally different person when I am on my meds. I am sure I could quit taking them if I wanted to go back to my old habits of self medicating with research chemicals and alchol. But that never worked out so well. Going back to church seems to have helped alot though. I hope you make it thru ok...
