I agree that it is very true that clothes are best cleaned when they are washed manually. But being a housewife, I will have to tell you a fact, we ladies put lot of pressue on our spine and lower back when we are sitting down and washing clothes. In asia we housewives are mostly responsible for washing clothes of the whole family, together with other washing like big bedsheets, curtains etc...which needs lot of strength. As we housewives are using so much energy all the time, after the age of 40, we suddenly feel that we are wearing out, we are detoriateing.....like anything which is over used. I am sure most women will be thankful to Washing Machine, which saved their hard work and helped them to save some energy for their oldage.
Mostly clothes are well washed in Washing machine, but if you feel some clothes need extra scubbing, you can wash that particular cloth manually and then put it in washing machine. I am sure many women will agree with me. Life without Washing Machine is impossible today.

I do both but before that washing machine is too expensive
to buy I do the hand washing and scrubbing with brush and board but since now that theres new washing machine out in the market that some brands are affordable I bought washing machine together with the drier and it is more easy and saving time to wash.

hi butterfly. Washing macine is made to wash the cloth. We used to wash our cloths by hands when we had no machine. Now it is a facility of present age and we mush avail it. hands are not machine I dont know how the naked hands do their performance better than a mchine. We forgot to wash the cloths by hand.

well maching machine is very usefull especially if we don't have much time but for cleanness I prefer doing it with my own hands so we can erase the spot clearly becuse if I used the washing machine sometimes the spots not erase well. but for my under garment I never used washing machine. the machine would broke my ubder garments instantly. so I guess I choose both of them.

I think i would die if i had to hand wash the clothes. I am very spoiled I guess with a washing machine, now I have had to hand wash a blouse or something and still do not like doing that.

i wash out dirty clothes by hand and it really cleans well than using washing machine.. washing machine is only advisable for those clothes that are not dirty and worn only few hours. but for us here in the province, hand wash is preferred.. i'm not contented on the cleanliness of the clothes using washing machine because you can see that not all the dirt are taken away unlike when you hand wash it, you can see every little dirt that's in your clothes.

all but the most fragile i wash by machine-i really don't have the time of day to handwash them.
i have no doubt though that some would have lasted longer if handwashed, the machine beats them up quite a bit.

We have been using the washing machine to wsh our clothes. Most of the time we won't wash them by hand. It's very common that there is a washing machine in most families.

I also washed our clothes by hand, first reason is it's what I've been taught by my mother, second would be it's current saver and water saver. It's also comfortable to wash clothes by hand if the clothes are minimal. And you're right, the clothes are well cared when manually washed.
But I use washing machine when washing bedcovers, curtains and those bulky things we use at home, it's much comfortable for me.

I love to wash my clothes in a washing machine. But I love to wash the collar and sleeve first by hand before they are placed into the washing machine. As to summer clothes, I wash them manually to save electricity and water.

I use both, If its just plain house clothes, I use the washing machine. But when it comes to jeans, office clothes or any clothes I use when I go out, I wash it by hands. Since most of it are delicate and I am sure that the clothes I wear when I go out is clean and spotless.
