When we are born, God bless each of us with free will. We are allowed to have our own dreams and reach to our own destinies...we all live with a dream of becoming someone and reach somewhere during our childhood days. However, eventually man made intervensions starts in many forms like religion, security, family, money. Infact even as an adult you have to give up certain dreams and hopes because of these man made obscurities...we loose our life, dreams, hopes in the process. How many of you agree with this...how many of you think that most of the time we humans make our life and other lives miserable and we blame GOD for everything...we console outselve sayin that it was not GOD's wish...Can U tell confidently...R u leading your own life or is it bein ruled by someone elses!!

I agree with you on this, and I try to lead myself my own life and still reach my dream (becoming a cinema director), but it is true that sometimes it is really hard to challenge oneself against social comfort... But I saw one point to debat here: in philosophy, the idea of destiny is a deterministic idea, which is against free will. That means, if we have a destiny we can't help it, we can decide freely whether or not to follow this destiny... I hate this idea. In my opinion there is not a complete destiny, just a few pieces of predestinated times, and a few "crossroads" where we can choose what "destiny" we will follow until the next crossroad. What do you think of this?

Hey Missak, Thanks for your reply... I think I confused you with the idea of destiny... Destiny for me is where I am going to reach finally after I chose where I want to reach. For Ex: I want to become a doctor, so my destiny accn to my free will is getting a medical degree and working as a medical practioner in a hospital. Even I dont belive in the concept the pre-determined destiny. Its u who decides about your life, however, I feel as I mentioned above, many external factors come into the picture, taking you away from your destiny and you land up somhwere else......dont u think we humans are making our life complicated but blame it on religion, communites, society etc....

I guessed that you were not talking about the deterministic destiny, but you should change your word and use target, aim, goal, objectif... isn't that more accurate for your idea? :) As I answered in my first sentence, I agree with your idea of this "external human factors" that ruins our goals ("destinies"), but somehow it is our own fault, we accept to follow thoose human things (religion, communites, society, and moral, appearences, hierarchies...) because in exchange we get some hypocrite and artificial comfort... We should learn to get rid of this attachments and follow our personal ideas.

hhmm... U r rite...abt d second point...but for the first point, i still think, if I still think destiny is the appropriate word, I think ppl get confused with the meanin. If I chose to become a scientist, then my destiny is to become a scientist... Anyways..its is very difficult to neglect human intervention and lead our own life...
