Hi. I have a little confuse with your statement. Yes it is not a building you chooe to make you a Christian. It is by calling of Jesus Christ into His flock.

Nope, only all those who are saved will be saved. Going to church won't make you a Christian any more than going to McDonald's will make you a hamburger.

Not everyone who goes to church will be saved unfortunatly. Just going to church does not make you a Christian. You have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior to be saved. Church is very important for the believer because we need to have fellowship with other believers. I do know that many have been saved by going to church because of people's witness for Christ. But when you come before the Lord on your Judgement, just saying "I went to church" will not be enough.

Hi springlady. just like in my earlier comment going to church( if you mean physical building etc.)definitely will not save you. And I agree with you that Church is very important but take note, if the house or church is built by God, Psalms 127:1. Because if you were in a true church where Jesus Christ is the head you will follow and keep His commandments. And that will save you.

That depends entirely on how you define "church". In case you refer to a denomination, a local church, a confession ... we can't tell that anybody is saved because he belongs to one of those entities. Only the Lord knows who is darnel and who is wheat. But when as the church you are speaking of the "Church of Christ", the mystical body of Christ, the edifice he constructed with himself as ist head, the bride of the heavenly briedgroom... of the community of the saints, of those who took the cross and left everything to follow Jesus, yes, all and everybody in this Church are saved.

Hi friend. You have a good point on that. The "Community of Saints". God bless to you and your family.

A big NO. I think the only criteria is within your heart. If you believe in HIM, chances are you'll be save. as long as accept God for what he will do to your life. Sure its not perfect. But you turnd to learn from it. Just open your heart let Jesus in. He is the way the life and truth.

Hi jwiz168. Yes I do agree Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. And not all will be save even when you are in the church for some reasons. But believing is not enough even jews believed in Him but went back and follow no more with Him, that is in Jn. 6:66 Jesus said said "if you continue in my word then you are really my disciple indeed."

No, not all in the church. If you just go for a social gathering, just to show that you are a "Christian", then you are lost..

Hi carmelanirel. I don't know what you mean. But in going to a social gathering, you don't need to show that you are a Christian. Christians in the Bible knows how to behave themselves that is in 1 Tim. 3:15.

Well I'm not a Christian anymore but I can honestly say that no I dont think all who attend church will be saved...in fact I think a very select few will really...Far too many church-goers and self proclaimed Christians really arent Christians at all...its a show, a "keeping up appearances" type thing....Too many Christians IMO are the religious version of a Weekend Partier...but in reverse...And to be perfectly honest with you, I dont think that goin to church is a necessity to being "saved" by any means...WHERE you go isnt of any importance whatsoever..its WHAT you FEEL in your heart and soul that counts..

Hi Ravenlady. I understand you since you are not a Christian. Church means in the Bible is a group of people, member or congregation or in other words "the body" that is in Col 1:18. So therefore there is inside and outside of the church. Church doesn't mean a physical building, a hall or museum. But I have my faith not all in church will be save because there is false brethren unawares brought in, who came in to spy out. Thanks to your comment.

Only God knows what is in a person's heart. Someone can appear to have it all together on the outside, but we cannot see what is on the inside. So, no, I do not think that everyone who attends church, whether regularly or not, will be saved. The same is true for those that do not attend church. I don't think you have to attend church to be saved (don't know why you wouldn't want to have that fellowship, though). I think church attendance is important for growth, accountability, fellowship, etc. - but walking into a church building will not save you. It all has to do with making Jesus Lord of your life.

Hi amaleigh73. Actually this is not what other people knows about the church. As they know it is a physical place where people should go. Well church in the Bible is group of people or it is called "the body" in Col.1:18 where there is a decree and where people is ought to behave themselves. Definitely going into church building will not save you. But it was stated in the Bible that there is a church where people being called, to them that are sanctified by Christ Jesus and called to be saints, 1Cor.1:2. If we want to be save, we must be in a true Church. But not not all in the church will be save, just what I have mentioned in my previous comment there are false brethren brought in just to spy out. Thanks to your comment and have a nice day.

No. It is only faith that saves a person. Some maybe Christians. And among the Christians, i would say this, many will not be saved. Many Christians are just baptized but in reality they do not believe in God.
