I have, lived a few years with no power or flowing water from watertaps. My brother and I would full up 20litre containers of water from the fresh running water creek just at the the bottom of our back yard.... We would full up about 5 containers each so we were back and fourths fulling up our 20litre containers...We lived by the fire and candle light at nite, so we mainly lived on what resources we had...Whats your response.

Hi there Bobby. Definetly and you know it lol. The days of no power and no running water. We didnt have to haul 20 gallon containers though, but we did have to check the only pipe line up there, that came direct from the stream, which had mountain water running from it... And also full and cart buckets back in fourth from the main house to the make shift bathroom we had, and then pouring it all into the old copper to heat up water... Living like that has taught me a heck of alot and Ive learnt to appreciate living in a house and having all the luxuries, such as running hot water, power and rooms, separate cupboards and wardrobes... We often go up there and camp still, and take our kids up there, so they also learn to survive without today so called necessities... Awsome post Bobbz... Keep on keeping on...

I have never lived in a place like that and i don't ever want to live with no power or water. I only had an experience last year when we are still in our old rented apartment and had no water for i think 3 weeks. The apartment had a problem with the water company that is why we don't have flowing water and we only get water from other house and pay for it. That experience is really difficult, to think that we still need to full up containers from other house back to our place. I don't like that to happen again that's why we decided to move to other apartment.
