before you get in the shower? I have to or there is no way I could get anything through it. My hair is long and extremely thick and curly. I have been told that it is bad brushing it dry but I have no choice. Even with conditioner I still have to do it before showering. What about you?

Sometimes i brush it before heading into the shower and there are also times that i don't. Even if i'm taking the shower and have conditioner on my hair i still don't brush it. I just massage my scalp and comb it using my hands.

When my hair is long, even just to my shoulders, I brush it before washing. Just got a short cut last week, so I don't really have to now.

Yes, I do brush my hair before showering. It is much easier to wash and condition when I have previously brushed it. Actually, it is not bad to brush your dry hair. It IS a bad idea to brush your hair once it is wet though, you risk breakage. If you do need to brush your wet hair, it is best to use a wide toothed comb or brush to gently brush it. And if you encounter snarls, it is best to use your fingers to rid of them. Another bit of advice for perfect tresses, do not roughly towel dry your hair, it creates friction, and increases chances of snarls. Instead, gently run the towel through your hair. I have many other fashion tips on my blog if you are interested. The link is www.yourguidetofashion.blogspot.com
