i don't know if you have ever watched the movie "Something's Gotta Give" but that is one of my faviurites. In the movie there is this splendid house in which Diane Keaton lives; i think it is in Hamptons, New York. It is impossible to describe the house you should really see it yourself! I'm sure it would be "almost heaven" to live there.

I'd like to try living in the olden times when there were no electricity yet..., no traffic, nothing much to do. No work, no internet, no tv's and telephones... Just you and your neighbors or tribe maybe and doing whatever folks were doing during those times. I really don't know what to expect but I sure do want some break from this very hectic and fast paced life we're all living in right now. Don't you just wish we have more time and energy to do all the things which needed to be done and taken care off? Phew... Cheers! Just babbling about...

I am from the UK but it has a very high population and so is over crowded. I nicest sort of place to live here would be a thatched cottage in a pretty village. I will suggest so places I think would be lovely to live in around the world. Anywhere in New Zealand's stunning landscape would make a nice home. Perhaps the best place would be charming Nelson on the South Island. It is very near fantastic beaches and wonderful walking tracks. Australia would be a gorgeous place to live. I think Sydney is one the most beautiful cities in the world. So I think a house overlooking the bridge or opera house would be delightful.

Hi and welcome to Mylot dovey89...I am sure you will enjoy it here. I've been here a month...and think it is a great on-line community and hope you will too! Anyway some people may not think where we live as their version of heaven...because we do get a lot of snow anywhere from the beginning of December until at least March...sometimes later. Manitoba is in the middle of Canada..and we live in a town of under 1000 people. The climate does not bother us too much because my hubby were born here and are used to it. The winter's can feel long, dark and cold at times...but our summers more than make up for it with 16 hours of long, hot sunny days. What we love about this part of Canada are the four really distinct seasons. Hot summers that slowly turn into Autumn days. The trees change colors and put on a rich, vibrant show of colors. Then when the leaves are all gone the snow comes and the starkness of bare branches against the pristine white snow allows us to ski, skate, snow-shoe, snowmobile until the days become warmer and longer and Spring comes again. It is a great joy to see the perennials come back in the garden and the leaves burst forth. The cycles keep it intersting...and of course there is nothing like a crisp, White Christmas to have something to look foward to all year. In our area we are surrounded by hills with many places to hike. The town is safe with low taxes and insurance rates...so we feel we've found our own little piece of heaven and plan to continue to bloom where we're planted!
