Am I destined to become an old maid?

In this era where women scuttle into marriage as soon as they reach the end of the calendar, I find it quite trivial to go with the flow. Although I too have dreamed of having a wedding, walking down the aisle, white gown, peach roses and the whole enchilada, It always ends there. It eands as soon as the receptions comes to a stop.
Does this mean I am going to be an oldmaid?

i got married in a American Embassy in Japan..no priest or minister..just paid the money and got married..but we have been married 22 years..but my previous marriage was a wedding like you described and it lasted less then four years..duh
my daughter Alice got married in a big wedding..and I walked her down the isle..this too did not last long and she has three children..but her third time seems to be working...
my son got married in 1997 and he dated his wife for over 6 years..also a big wedding ..i even wore a TUX ..limo..roses, church...you know..the whole enchilada..but the enchilada did not last one year and he was out the door...but the thing that got me was he wanted me to pay for his divorce! I paid for his mother's divorce..twice..so I refused him this money (six hundred and fifty bucks just to start the case;(=P so what I am saying..yes,,it is a nice dream and a nice fantasy..and not ALL marrriages end up in divorce..but first find someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with that has the same thought pattern as yours...you don't want to live a life of quiet desperation..that is what the previous generations did..now people have a low threshhold to pain and suffering..
