Why Do People Abuse Animals?

A black beautiful labrador was found in a dtich today in Halifax. It had both its front legs broken and it was left to die. This upset me so much that I cried. The dog had to have major surgery and is now ok.
What psychotic sick minded individual would do this I dont know.But I hope they suffer for it!

to answer your question about the kind of sick individual who would do this sort of thing, in my opinion it would be someone who would like to do it to a person but due to laws, is prevented from this, but only for the time being. It is probably kids, teenagers who might graduate to doing similar things to people. Serial killers are usually animal abusers before they attack humans.

I think it's because a lot of people don't have the mentality that animals are live creatures with pain receptors and feelings (yes, I believe that they all have feelings). When I was growing up, most of my family treated animals terribly. They didn't necessarily abuse them, but a lot of times they didn't do that great by them.
