What is your favorite thing to cook? I like to fix homemade spaghetti but especially for large groups I use ground beef, canned italian tomatoes, tomatoe paste, chopped garlic, italian seasoning, oregano and if I have it I add italian sausage and chicken.

I do the same. Fix spaghetti. But I baked them. Plus if you would like, to extend mt budget I add ground pork to my ground beef. I have seen that if you bake it, it extends more plus there wouldn't be parts with less sauce or sauce shortages. Plus you cut it neatly in squares, there's a lot more people to feed that just letting them get how much they want.

Just cook the sauce as you do cook it. :) Then for your pasta, add little oil and salt while boiling. Then after boiling, rinse with cold water then toss in butter, just enough to coat the pasta so that it doesn't stick and it'd smell great. For addition, mix spaghetti in a glass container then even-out sauce, put a little evaporated milk, then top with white cheese mixture (in a pan, melt cheese with cream until well mixed then pour onto spaghetti) then put in oven, just enough do boil the milk and incorporates cheese. If you do that, I'm sure people would love it and ask you to cook more. I have tried that recipe to a lot of my friends, their relatives beg for more. *LOL* Plus of course, when you cook, smile. It makes the food taste greater. =)

Lol,I will let you know a couple of day's ahead of time the next time Iam going to fix it.It's not too often.I live in Virginia,a bit of a ways from you.But see this is perfect for a large group. You do not use too many pans.Ok,I have heard of this but night tried it yet with spaghetti.Instead of using ground beef I will use buffalo meat.It has less fat,so there will be less draining and healthier for everyone.I usually have chicken the night before and hold out two large piece's from the serving process. Then I have it for my spaghetti.Start this in the morning. In one skillet brown the meat.In another cook italian style sausage cut up into bite size piece's.After it is browned and cooked drain them of excess grease and put them into a large pot. Then add the seasoning's to taste and the garlic and cut up onion's,green peppers.Add a large can or two medium can of italian style tomatoes.Mix together. While you are cooking this on low heat peel the chicken in bite size piece's also and add.Mix and continue cooking on medium heat for about 45 minutes.Add 2-4 small can's of tomatoe paste, depending on your desired thickness.Continue heating on medium and of course test taste it.Add more seasoning's or garlic as desired.Let the taste cook in for 1-2 hours.Boil water for your pasta, use olive oil in it to keep it from sticking.Do not rinse the pasta. It will wash the vitimans away.Serve with garlic bread. It's easy to fix for the family or a group. Not too many pans or dishes used.

Whatever is easy to clean up. lol. Usually it depends on the season. Summertime we grill out if there are guests. Too bad its not summer all year round, because cleanup doesn't get any easier. Actually thinking about it I can do that for 3 seasons. During winter, holidays are enough of a mess without adding extra get togethers. lol..

When we have a large group – we usually grill outside- Hots and hamburgers or chicken- salads- salt potatoes- that type of thing- If it’s in the winter- Usually a big meal- Turkey dinner or lasagna- Just depends on what the gathering is for.

I love to make lasagna when I know we are having a lot of company. However, if my momma is visiting, then I know I need to watch carbs and sugar as she is diabetic. I make my lasagna totally from scratch (well not the noodles) and use a combo of ricotta, parmesian, romano, and mozzarella cheeses.

Spaghetti is a great meal to make when you have a lot of dinner guests. I often make that for a big group also, or chili with ground beef and chili beans, and all of the needed spices.

I agree that spaghetti is probably one of the best and easiest things to fix for a large group. so much that when my sons friends came over for the 5th time and we had spaghetti AGAIN, I had to rethink things and maybe do a mess of fried chicken the next time. I had to let them know I knew how to cook more that spaghetti
