Do you like to sit outside and watch animals?

I was sitting outside with my cat gizmo and a stray that hangs around. I saw something move next to the woods behind the trailer across the street. It was a deer with twin fawns. The fawns were running, jumping and chasing each other. They were so cute. I was trying to sit still so I wouldn't scare them but it was hard because the mosquitoes were biting me. I watched them for several minutes before the mother led them back into the woods.
It gives me a warm tranquil feeling to watch animals. How does it make you feel?

I live in the city limits but just barely and we have seen bob cats, foxes, raccoons, opossums, and even have had full grown black bears go through our back yard. There are many birds of prey fly over our yard including many kinds of hawks buzzards and the occasional bald eagle. I do have pictures of a few of the bears that have been around. When I lived in Texas I used to see coyotes, antelope, jack rabbits as well and many smaller animals.

up here in Western Massachusetts i have not seen too many owls but when i lived in central Mass. i caught an owl that was injured and turned it into the humane society where they took it to a vet to see if it could be fixed up. The vet said that the injuries were too bad plus it had a disease that was very progressed and that it was better to not let it suffer . my girlfriend saw an owlet on a walkways in the woods a few weeks ago. She took it off of the walkways and put it in the woods so that dogs and other things may not see it and kill it.

I love sitting outside and just listening and watching. Our house is primarily surrounded by trees. It is fascinating all the wildlife that is around. My favorite is watching squirrels.

You where lucky to see a mother with twins. I do not know how many fawns survive when they are twins. To bad you did not have your camera with your. I would have loved to see them.
I love to sit and even watch the birds in the back yard. My dog does not like the birds in the trees he barks till they leave. The steller jays just tease hime and squake at him. It makes him so mad.

Yes it is unfortunate that I don't have a good camera. There have been many times I could have gotten some neat pictures. Unfortunately woodlands are getting rarer as more land is cleared for building. If I had the money I would love to buy a few hundred acres of woods for the animals.

I wish we lived somewhere to be able to watch the wildlife again. We have big noisy dogs next door. :(
I love to watch the animals doing their thing. It just makes me feel serene. Animals aren't stressed or running around trying to get things done.
