If You are driving along your car on a wild, stormy night. It's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus: 1. An Old Lady who looks as if she is about to die. 2. An Old Friend who once saved your life. 3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about. Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car? Think before you continue reading.................. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady because she is going to die and thus you should save her firsr; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life and this would be the perfect hence to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.... Please be sincere........ The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants)had no trouble coming up with his answer. His answer was: "I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams." Maybe...Sometimes, we will gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitation.. Wel.... My answer at the first place was I will take the old lady with me to the hospital. I think my old friend will understand & helping shoudn't expect return.. right? However, for the perfect partner... I'm sure if we got faith/destiny, we'll meet again somewhere sometimes... Maybe you'll think I'm too selfish.. but this is my sincere answer... So, what will be you answer at the first place?

That is such a dilemma because we are so conditioned to thinking in preset ways. Like you I chose the old lady but I didn't have a special reason, I just chose her because it was the right thing to do for me. I think the one who got that job must be a very special person indeed. Thank you for posting this, it is very thought-provoking.

I have to say I have heard this before, so I cannot be impartial. My first instinct when I heard it, was to call an ambulance for the old woman, a taxi for my friend, and offer the man of my dreams a ride home. If he didn't want to, he could take the taxi and my friend could ride with me. Either way, it's a win win situation. I would call an ambulance for the old woman because then she would start to receive care sooner. It all depends on our situations. I always have a cell phone, so I could do that. Also, I would never be in a car that only fits one other person. So I would be able to take them all.
