Hello migenKC!
I have been a student leader in my teenage and during my university life too, not for a specific institute but a student body which worked through out my country. This body or organization helped students in their finances, arranged special courses, trainings, lectures etc. There was another side to this organization which was social and political. We worked as a team to eradicate some social problems which though we weren't successful as much as we wanted but we did create much awareness which helped bring an overall change. We also fought for rights of population on many levels.
In my personal capacity, I have some accomplishments though, but not much. I was awarded presidential award in my 10th grade and I am a record holder of my local high school. I also won two merit scholarships at same time and had to leave one because I couldn't keep both according to rules. I also won a nationwide competition for the selection for doctorate studies in Frace which I am doing now. There were around 12500 contestants and I was among the very few lucky contestants. I wish you best of luck:-)

Thanks for sharing things about you and your sisters migenKC! I liked your love and devotio for them.
I tend to be a little perfectionist which at times pains me too. Perfection is my inspiration. I want to leave behind my legacy such that all peole related to me can be proud of having relationship with me. I don't want them to regret. I only know that I am weak but strong at the same time. I can change what I want to which takes strength and I hope I have that kind of strength.

hmp.. i also want to be perfect... im not perfectionist but instead i want things to improve always and hit the greatest dream i could achieve..
i know i cant be perfect.. no one can be.. but there only one way to keep on improving our slelves.. and that to try to be PERFECT..
im afraid of failures.. coz i feel like my family also failed because of me since i am doing my best for them. my mom and dad always sets high expectations on me and i really try to reach it or even be better than what they expect..
now that i have the chance to go abroad for my studies. everyone is expecting so much to me... and the more they expect.. the more i work hard

i agree that most of the student leaders were criticized.. i was criticized when i was high school.
BUT.. there's a big "but" behind those... most of the people they handle does not recognize the effort of every real resposible student leaders. maybe, critizism is already a part of the duty of a student leader and most of them accepted it before they do the pledge.
if you just can notice... most of the presidents of America we're killed and didnt manage to finish their term. but notice also that America is one of the most powerful countries of the world. this is all because they have good or even great leaders but still wasnt able to appriciate by their people.
Student Leader or leaders that were criticized but still strongly doing their job to its fullest are like heros. despite all, they stand up straight to lead and to make improvements not only for their own good but for the whole community or nation.

if thats your opinion.. i guess i cant change your mind.. we all have different ideas... i cant deny that some student leaders have personal interests but in my opinion many of them are just making their potetials be extended to other people to be helpful.
our duties are being done with heart.

When i had first entered in my college i had won for the post of secretary of my department. It had been the first year of my still i had handled all my responsibilities very well. I also got support from my seniors but also had to struggle a lot but it was one of the best accomplishment in my college life. It was due to this that i got recognised by many and also enjoyed it. It helped me boost my college life and transfered me to a position much above then the past.

its funny im answering this. i think that accomplishments should be accompanied with humility. but i guess this discussion is good, we must pat our back for the things weve done selflessly. to start with, congratulations to all of us. this is not a way to brag our achievements but to realize what we are capable to do.
i was an achiever since i was a kid. i always go to the stage to receive my medals. i think that this shaped me to give my best in everything. until now, at the age of 24, im still studying. thats how i love school. hehehe. i always believe that i am a born leader. im always a part of the organizations, in school, church, community and sometimes its nationwide. and until now i cant believe i was able to manage my time in handling my academics and extra curricular activities. mind you im not the typical nerdy geeky type who is very stiff. i join cheerleading competitions, i love drinking and partying. thats how i enjoy life. i guess that is a great achievement. im a jack of all trades. enjoying life to the fullest and still achieving and fulfilling my goals

wow.. good for you.. :)
hmp... in my opinion there is no such person that was born to be a leader...or maybe there are few that was born to be leaders but me.. i beleive i was born to be a dreamer. i never had any accomplishments when i was in elementary but opportunities made me such a good but still improving student leader... compared to my younger sisters.. i am not as intelligent as they are nor as talented.. i dont know how to dance and to sing. but i always have the guts to show my abilities.
i am also always a part of organizations... in fact sometimes i tend to do almost all the task alone for a certain organization... i had been also a part of nationwide activities and organizations and still dreaming to join international activities.
i enjoy life also.. in fact i love playing computer games, arcade games and even Play station 2 with my boyfriend.
i also attend parties with good friends... i drink sometimes but not that much...
i agree with what you said... "this is not a way to brag our achievements but to realize what we think we are capable" ....i just want to let people see the goodness of being a student leader, making your life worth living and using your potentials to its fullest.
