let's see my friend, its hard to say right now.. remember there are also other rising stars that are potential to be the next jordan. james,wade,anthony,etc.

You definitely are an NBA ALMANAC fan. And I praise you for that. your right Kobe is agreat player but he will not be a winner as MJ is. Championships? Kobe can't get one unless he will have another allstar in his team or in short he needs help...

I totally disagree with the prognostic that Kobe will ever surpass Jordan...If you are talking about statistics that might be possible...He might be able to score more career points than Jordan...but as far as winning more championships and other awards I doubt it. I don't see Kobe winning anymore NBA championships...scoring titles probably, more All-Stars and he'll probably win an MVP award at some point like Karl Malone did because a player of his dimension has to at least win it ounce...I'm sure David Stern will make sure of that...

We cannot say that all people hate Kobe. well at the past yes, because of his disrespectfulness, boastfullness and arrogance. but now you can see that he is also topping the nba all-star voting. and also he is cheered in away games. all i can say is Kobe is a great player and he will be that player, but definitely he cannot be MJ

you maybe right.. but nobody can forsee or predict the future.. if kobe stays healthy and stays consistent with his game and most especially if he can find a way to pull a championship ring by his own then he may surpass jordan and may become the greatest player ever played.
