or basically "end of thinking capacity"...
(-lol-)
when people run out of things to say, or to write about, or just too many examples to name them all... it is so easy for us to just put in "etc.". during my meeting today, one of the guys mentioned etc and everyone joked about it as being the end of his thinking capacity...
so when you use "etc", which applies to you... too many to mention or end of thinking capacity? :)

When I use it , it's because there are so many examples, we could be here forever. Or I would be typing forever..lol. Or sometimes I use it because it can continue a thought. Such as in instances where I might say "I wish you happiness, joy, etc." Meaning there are many mor ethings I would like to wish you, you get the idea. I have never thought of it in the sense of "end of thinking capacity" more of an extension of thoughts that would be too lengthy to continue.

when i was a kid i never thought of the meaning of etc really, so i use it on situations wherein there's too many to mention in so little time and when i try to shorten what i have to say.
end of thinking capacity is more like a joke in the industry i work in to make people avoid using it as much as possible and provide concrete examples. :)
