friendly and strict -friendly if they are good in class and in the shool grounds, strict if they're not, as they need to be disciplined

I feel that we must always be friendly with them. I feel that a child or student should never be afraid of the teacher rather they should respect the teacher. Respect comes on its own when they share things with the teacher. out of respect a student acts differently with the teacher in different situations. where he has to obey will obey and where he has to discuss will discuss things with the teacher. After mother a teacher plays a great role in a child's life. Many students may not share many things with their family members but do share with the teachers. what do you say?

Teachers owe their students respect as long as it is mutual. Teens look to us for guidance and the only way they will take the advice we give is if the relationship is based on mutual respect and trust. That's the kind of relationship we need to foster, and we do it by first giving respect until circumstances warrant otherwise.
So the answer's not friendly or strict, but responding to the circumstances with whatever is needed by the student. Just my opinion, but it's been working for me for years.
