I have a child that suffers from Insomnia. The Doctors don't want to put her on medication for it because she is still so young. They tell me to give her Benedryl. I think that giving her Benedryl all the time can't be good either. So can someone give me some advice on how to help her to sleep better? All help with be greatly appreciated.

Try looking up natural remedies for insomnia. There are herbs that will help with that. They also say warm milk before bed. I have heard people say some of them work but I've never tried any myself.
I don't think I would want to give Benedryl nightly either. I can't believe a doctor would say that.
